This information pertains to converting data from Microsoft Money 2003 or later to Quicken 2004 or later.

Microsoft Money users who want to switch to Quicken will learn how to convert Microsoft Money data to a format Quicken can read in this tutorial. Converting Microsoft Money data to Quicken data is a multi-step process that requires some tweaking after the data conversion, and unfortunately, not all data can be converted.

If you decide to skip importing your Microsoft Money file to Quicken, you still have the option of adding accounts to Quicken then entering or downloading transactions after accounts are reconciled in Money. Using this method takes a little longer, but is preferable for some people.
