Before you can attach an image to a transaction or an account in Quicken, you must
scan the document and save original file on your computer. You can also save an email attachment or an image such as a receipt from a website. Use File, Save Attachment As in email or File, Save As in your browser to accomplish these tasks. Note to which folder you are saving your file so you can find it to attach it in Quicken later.
When you attach a file in Quicken, the original file remains intact while Quicken converts it. The new attachment name is then created by Quicken. Once the image is attached to a Quicken transaction or account, you can delete the original scanned or saved file if you wish.
