Set Up Quicken Transaction Passwords

What is a Quicken Transaction Password?

Set a Quicken transaction password to have Quicken prompt for a password before changing any transactions on or before a specified date.

This useful Quicken feature can be used to remind yourself not to change transactions for a specific period of time, or not to change any transactions in an archived file.

Use a Quicken transaction password to protect only the transactions in a file before a specified date. If you wish to have Quicken prompt for a password before opening a file, then you need to set a Quicken File Password instead of a Quicken transaction password.
