Age and New Technology Adoption

Tuesday November 11, 2008
I was surprised to get so many negative responses when I recently asked readers to let me know if they would manage their money online. According to a study by ABI Research covered by ars technica, while there are early adopters of new technology in all age groups, the older a person is the less likely they will be interested in using the cool, new techie stuff.

Does this mean the majority of my readers are all "getting up in age"? Maybe, maybe not. If anything, this study explains why I get so many blank stares from others in my 40-something demographic when I attempt to discuss some new software or techie toy I've been using or learning about.

Do You or Will You Manage Money Online?
