Stock Research Pro Streamlines Stock Analysis

By , About.com GuideOctober 29, 2008

Follow me on:

Stock Research Pro, available for PCs running Windows XP and Vista, aims to serve both new and experienced stock market investors with tools that follow a logical, streamlined process. Sounds good to me, considering the time I spend researching a stock by bouncing around a number of stock research sites and my online brokerage research tools.

For $30, some of the tools in Stock Research Pro are: the ability to get stock ratings from a number of sources under one tab, fundamental and technical analysis, and What-If scenarios to help with making stock buying and selling decisions.

I'll be trying Stock Research Pro and will let you know what I think of it. In the meantime, you can check it out yourself at StockResearchPro.com.

Update: Just spent 10 minutes clicking around Stock Research Pro. Seems very useful to me! More later...

I have been to Stock Research Pro – They have a great platform, but I don’t get from them what I am truely looking for. I am in the market for real fundamental analysis. Analysis on the scale that does the fundamentals for me, so I can spend my time more effectively seeking out companies with positive stories. I found a company called Firerock research (www.firerockresearch.com), they seem to have it figured out. They are able to provide a real fundamental view of how a company performs on mainstreet and what their true valuations are.

The tools that have been around for years are just not working. I think we all have come to that same conclusion after this last quarter of 2008. I think we all need to start looking for these new ways of “cross-checking” our investment decisions with tools like Firerock provides.

Shelly – hopefully you can take a look at what this company has created and can give your opinion about it. I think it is great, and it saves me half my day as the ‘quants’ are done already!

Has anyone else seen this company yet?
