New Quicken Update: Quicken 2008 Release 3

Friday October 5, 2007
When I ran Quicken 2008 account updates this morning, I discovered that knowing that an update was available was not quite as "in my face" as it was in past versions. I used to get a pop-up window in Quicken that would tell me a new release to update the software was available, now I see a link at the bottom of the update confirmation page. When I click that link I then see the old pop up window declaring a new Quicken release.

If Quicken 2008 users have not done online updates very recently, they will find that Quicken 2008 Release 3 is now available. This release adds no additional security or functionality to Quicken 2008, but it patches up a few bugs:

  • Address Book: Fixed an issue where payee and memo field for some transactions that use payees from the address book were changed to N/A.
  • Image Attachment Encryption: Resolved a defect where encrypted images could not be viewed.
  • Printing: Fixed a problem where voucher checks would print 3 decimal places on the printed voucher check.
  • Reports Crashing: Resolved program crash reported by Quicken customers.

Since quicken 2007 has never worked, why should I pay for Quicken 2008?

I don’t know if this is the correct forum, but I’m trying to get help with Quicken Premier 2007. I have a new email address and a new home address. Plus I had to reformat my hard drive. I did backup my quicken data. I downloaded my Quicken 2007 software so I don’t have the CD. I have information that says I have three years to access and download the software. The problem is I can get to Intuit to purchase new software, but it doesn’t allow me to go anywhere else on the quicken site. If I hit any link it just sits there loading up, but nothing happens. Who can I contact live (phone number, email or phone) to handle my problem? Please help or send me to the right person or URL. Thank you very much.

It sounds like Quicken or your ISP may have been having some IT issues when you tried to access Quicken.com. This link should give you the info you need:

http://financialsoft.about.com/od/quickenforbeginners/a/Q_SupportOpts.htm

You will find the Quicken support chat link about half way down the page and a customer support phone number at the bottom.
