You Need A Budget Pro Update

Sunday March 11, 2007
Version 1.2.6 of You Need A Budget Pro has released. This release includes some bug fixes and some new features:

  • OFX and QFX imports: Chances are, your bank offers OFX and QFX downloads. Now you can use them to import data into You Need A Budget Pro to spend less time doing data entry.
  • Calculator drop down: Budget cells, register inflow and outflow fields now have a calculator.
  • Transaction summary: Hover your mouse over the Spent field on the Budget to get a summary of transactions making up that number.
  • Flag transactions: Use different colored flags in your register to flag transactions as reminders to yourself.

Current You Need A Budget Pro customers just need to open YNAB Pro to get the details on the update, and the update download. If you don't use YNAB Pro and you are looking for personal finance software that focuses on budgeting, read my You Need A Budget Pro Review, and give YNAB Pro a try.

Hello Shelley,

I am the CEO of On Track M*Power. We have just launched a free online personal budget software program that has been in development for nearly 3-years and I am seeking feedback. There are no gimmicks. This is totally free. I think it is different than anything else out there in that it allows the user to create an action plan that shows him or her how to manage money in a way that achieves his or her goals and the plan is integrated into the Budget Software to make it automatic. The user can then manage bills, transactions, calendar, etc. We also make coaches available to help if needed.

I think the product is easy to use but I really need users to verify this and give me opinions as to how I can make it better.

I welcome you to use it yourself and offer feedback. Although I call this a budget product, in reality, I use a money management approach that I developed called the Financial Life System. This system helps people manage their money in a way that does not involve traditional micro managing and spending logs. My “Financial Life System” book is being printed and will be released in April.

Once again, I am trying to get as much feedback as possible. Please go to www.OnTrackMPower.com if you are interested in giving it a try.

Thank you

Bob Lovinger
