Quicken 2010 Needs an Overhaul

What are the best features in this software? 

Downloads information about: checking, credit cards, IRA and stocks from different institutions all with one click. Helps user reconcile check book and keep track of all assets. I don't need the other features which abound.

How could the software improve? 

Major overhaul needed. I was getting incorrect download information and a few weeks ago I spoke with my bank representative who is dedicated to helping customers set up their accounts. We set up a new data file and the information downloaded just fine. Now, I'm having the same problem again.

My Review 

When initially set up the software runs exceptionally. Information, including historical data, is easy to get to after you know your way around. This is such a powerful package, however, that it takes some dedicated work to get to know how to use it.

However, and this is a big however, after a short while the data downloaded is incorrect. Comparing the figures online between the Quicken data and any of the institution's data shows thousands of dollars of difference. My bank has a representative who is dedicated to helping Quicken users access their accounts. He thought the problem was a corrupt data file. We created a new file and it worked perfectly. Now, a couple of months later, I'm having the same problem and I have to conclude that the data file is corrupt again. This is a very stable computer platform and no other programs are experiencing any signs of corruption.

No matter how many bells and whistles the software has, if it can't give me the right numbers it's worthless.
