To reduce your risk of an income tax audit, TurboTax goes checks your tax return for errors and uses the Audit Risk Meter to reveal your risk of being audited along with an explanation and how to reduce that risk.
If you should be audited, the Audit Support Center is included with TurboTax Deluxe and higher versions as a separate download found under Federal Review, Audit Tools. Hopefully, you will not need the Audit Support Center but if you do, you will get explanations for why the IRS is contacting you and what that contact means (what looks like an audit notice may simply be an information request).
