If you purchased TurboTax Deluxe, Premier or Home and Business, you most likely wish to prepare a state as well as a federal income tax return with TurboTax. You will be asked to select your state later in the install, and if you have an open Internet connection TurboTax will automatically install the state forms if tax forms have been finalized.
If state forms are not finalized when you install TurboTax, you will be asked for your email address so you can be notified when the forms are ready. As an added measure, you can set up automatic TurboTax updates to have the forms downloaded when they are ready.
If you do not have Internet access, you can receive a free final state update CD by calling 1-800-624-8384. The final TurboTax state tax form CDs will be available in mid-March.
