The Quicken for Mac 2006 Release 3 patch fixes several stability problems found in the software after the Release 2 Update was published early in August, 2005. The Release 3 Update also repairs many online banking problems, including the common issue with downloaded transactions failing to copy to the register section.

- Improved stability to prevent Quicken from quitting unexpectedly when launching or during data file conversion on systems running Mac OS X 10.4 or higher.
- Stability improvements to stop Quicken from quitting when launching after some internal files became corrupted. These files have been repaired and Quicken launches as expected.
- Resolution of the 'Open Recent' menu item not displaying its submenu.
- Quicken for Mac 2006 has been updated to check with a new server for software updates.
- Backup is no longer created when running a scheduled update. Formerly, Quicken for Mac 2006 would sometimes create and copy a backup file to .Mac when the Backup to .Mac feature was enabled.
- When selecting a downloaded transaction in the Download Transactions window, Quicken for Mac 2006 sometimes did not copy transactions to the register section of this window. This issue has been resolved.
- Resolution of issue with weekday buttons becoming unreadable when using the Scheduled Updates tab of the One Step Update window.
- Quicken for Mac 2006 now correctly marks cancelled Quicken Bill Pay payments.
