Finicity Money Manager Overview:
Finicity Money Manager follows in Mvelope's footsteps with a free trial that requires you to enter your credit card and then cancel your account before the trial ends if you decide not to keep using Finicity. These "free trial" arrangements are sometimes problematic when one is unable to cancel an account before the trial period due to technical or customer service errors. Some
Mvelopes users had trouble with getting free trials canceled, resulting in a charge to their credit card.
I went through the process of signing up for a Finicity Money Manager account and stopped short of entering my credit card number by closing the account registration window on Finicity.com. As a result, I have access to the online financial community features, which definitely add value to the online personal finance software. These social finance extras include:
- Mentors for help from experienced Finicity Money Manager users.
- Groups which focus on goal-based money management.
- Forum community for discussing personal finance concerns with others.
- Articles and information from financial experts.
- Personal finance articles and the Finicity blog for even more personal finance insight.
I have not taken Finicity Money Manager for a spin yet because I am so averse to free trials requiring cancellation as described previously. If I can get a demo account from Finicity, I will update this profile with a review of Finicity Money Manager.
