Data Entry:
- Use enter key to move between fields. By default, the Tab key moves between fields in Quicken registers. Select this option to use the Enter instead.
- Complete fields using previous entries. Uses previous transaction information to complete fields automatically.
- Recall memorized payees. Uses previous transactions to fill in payees automatically. Must have Complete fields using previous entries selected for this to work.
- Provide drop down lists in field entry. Gives a list of choices to select from for each field in registers.
- Capitalize payees and categories. Provides automatic capitalization.
- Show button on QuickFill fields. Shows register field drop-down lists when you click on a field.
Automatic list updating:
- Automatically memorize new payees. Saves new payees to the Memorized Payee list. Quicken only memorizes up to 2,000 payees so if you reach that many, delete unneeded payees from the Memorized payee list under Tools in Quicken, or press Ctrl + T.
- Automatically memorize to the Calendar list. Automatically add memorized payees in the Financial Calendar, making it easier to create scheduled transactions.
- Add Address Book QuickFill group items to QuickFill list. Adds names and addresses from the Quicken Address Book to the QuickFill list. The Quicken Address Book is found under Tools and is used for organizing contact information and for printing checks and envelopes. If you use this option, select Include this Payee in QuickFill list on the Payee tab in the Edit Address Book Record.
Click on OK to save changes and close Quicken Preferences, or click on one of the other preference selections before saving changes.
