Does the “cha-ching” sound that comes from Quicken each time an expense is entered irritate you? You're not alone. Here is how you turn off sounds in Quicken personal finance software:

Here’s how you can turn off sounds (or noise, depending on your definition) in Quicken:

  1. Click on Edit on the task bar at the top of Quicken.
  2. Click on Preferences.
  3. Click Quicken Program, then click on Setup.
  4. Click the box next to Turn on Quicken sounds to remove the check mark.
  5. Click on OK.

To make sounds audible in Quicken again, follow the same procedure but select Turn on Quicken sounds so that a check mark appears next to the option.
