Answer: Yes, you can get a deal on a Quicken upgrade by adding features to your current version. Adding features works if you are going from one version of Quicken to another in the same year, for example, from Quicken 2008 Deluxe to Quicken 2008 Premiere. You cannot add features to upgrade between years (from a version of Quicken 2007 to Quicken 2008).

Tips for Unlocking New Features in Quicken

• You must be logged into an administrator account in Windows 2000, XP or Vista to be able to add features to Quicken.

• New features cannot be unlocked from the Shop Intuit site, you must add new features from directly within Quicken.

• You will need to add new features again (at no charge) if you reinstall Quicken, install Quicken on a new computer or you get an error message that says your data file was used with a different version of Quicken.

• After you purchase the new features, there is no charge if you need to unlock the new features multiple times.

Add Quicken Features

1. Click on the Help menu at the top of Quicken.

2. Currently using Quicken Deluxe: Click on Which Quicken is best for you?

   Currently using Quicken Premier: click on Add Business Tools.

3. Look over the information about the features you can add.

4. Click on Order Online and follow the order procedure.

5. If you have a Quicken.com or TurboTax Online ID and password, use it to log in during checkout. Otherwise, you need to create a Shop Intuit account during the checkout process.

6. Follow the on-screen instructions and submit your order for an unlock code to open the new features.

7. Close the Shop Intuit web site when you are finished with your order.

8. Close Quicken and reopen it to begin using the new features. The new features do not show up until Quicken is restarted.

If you loose your unlock code, log on to Shop Intuit to find your order and get the code again.
