How to Back Up Quicken Attachments

Quicken Attachments are Available in Quicken 2006 and Later

To back up Quicken image attachments, you need to do a little planning. Quicken only backs up attachments when you do a manual backup and not during automatic or online back ups. So, to regularly back up Quicken image attachments you will need to put a reminder in your Quicken Calendar or some other convenient place.

In addition to requiring a manual backup for Quicken attachments, the backup media (CD, DVD, etc.) must have enough space available for all Quicken data as well as the attachments. If there is limited space available on the backup media, Quicken only backs up data because this information is more critical than the image files. This is because Quicken either backs up all account and transaction attachments or no attachments at all. Quicken 2006 cannot do a partial backup of attachments.
