Can a Tax Professional Work With TurboTax or TaxCut Returns?

If you start your tax return but get too busy to finish it, procrastinate too long or decide you would rather have a professional complete your taxes, both TurboTax and TaxCut have options.

H&R Block Signature
H&R Block is offering Signature for $79.95, where you prepare your tax return with TaxCut Premium + E-file, then a tax professional reviews, edits, signs and e-files the return. The Signature service includes unlimited Ask a Tax Advisor sessions and access to a tax professional for year-round tax advice. State filing is an additional $30.

TurboTax Pro Review
TurboTax Pro Review lets you send your return and any questions you have directly to certified tax professionals. Shortly after submitting your tax return, you will receive a report that answers all your questions and that makes note of parts of your tax return that may need some attention. Pro Review costs $39.95.

You get more hand-holding with H&R Block Signature, the year-round tax advice is a plus if you need it, and the cost for the service is very fair. If you do not need year-round tax help but you want a tax pro's opinion of your return before you file it, you will save money by using TurboTax Pro Review.
