Home Inventory Creation and Reporting
Use Home Insurance Inventory Creator to add rooms and then belongings in your home inventory, periodically saving data to your hard drive. When finished creating your home inventory, click Output HTML and you get your home inventory listed, then you can click on Ctrl+S to save the report to your hard drive. Unfortunately, the report is extremely basic and does not even total the home inventory.
Working with Images
Home Insurance Inventory Creator does not have a button to browse your hard drive for digital photos taken of home inventory items. You will have to know the exact file path for image files (i.e. C:\Users\Username\Pictures\inventory\chair01.jpg), which is a hassle.
Adjusting Your Inventory
If you need to adjust a home inventory created with Home Insurance Inventory Creator, the inventory file saved on your hard drive can be uploaded into Home Insurance Inventory Creator so you can work on it online.
Summary
Home Insurance Inventory Creator is very simple to use, but it was also more time consuming to use compared to other online home inventory software because I could not browse my hard drive for home inventory images. Home Insurance Inventory Creator does not allow for attaching more than one image and it does not track warranties. Personally, I would skip it.
