Faceboook apps to manage money, use these tips to help keep your financial information secure.
- Never sign up for a bank or other financial account directly through Facebook. Set up an online account directly at the web site for the financial institution you want to use, then access it using the app on Facebook.
- Never use a Facebook app that reveals your account number or any information other than your name.
- Click on the Info tab on the Facebook personal finance app page to get more information about using the app. If nothing is written on the Info page, do not use the app.
- Use Facebook's privacy settings to restrict who you share your financial information with.
