Linking transactions to images or other files is useful for keeping important documentation for purchases, deposits or account credits together with the transaction data.
Useful linked files for Microsoft Money transactions:
- Scan the warranty for a newly-purchased set of tires. If you need to refer to the warranty later, just do a quick search for the transaction in Money and click on the link.
- Link the emailed receipt for your tax software download to the purchase transaction in Money to document this income tax deduction.
- Make an online purchase and save the order confirmation from the web page to your hard drive, then link the file to the transaction in your account register.
Linking files to transactions is available in Microsoft Money Plus Deluxe, Premium and Home & Business but not in Microsoft Money Essentials.
