File linking is only available in Microsoft Money Advanced Register, and is a very easy to do, just be sure you set up a folder to hold the images and files you want to use in links.
To link a file to a Microsoft Money Plus transaction:
- If the account register that holds the transaction you want to link a file to is not already open in Microsoft Money, click on Banking, then click on Account List and click on the account you want to use.
- Find the transaction you want to link a file to in the account register and right-click on it. Click Link to Image or Other File to bring up the Link to File dialog window.
- Use the Link to File dialog to browse to your Microsoft Money folder for linked files, then select the file you want. The types of files listed can be changed to image (picture) files.
- Click Link to File. You will see a small paperclip icon in the flag column to the left of the date. Each individual transaction can only be linked to one file.
You can learn all you need to know to link files to Money transactions in the free e-course, Linking Files to Microsoft Money Transactions.
