- Make sure all transactions that occurred before the stock split are entered. Any transactions recorded after the stock split date in Microsoft Money will assume the post-split information.
- If you are not already in your Microsoft Money investment portfolio, click on Investing at the top of the screen.
- Under My Investing Tools in the left navigation bar, click on Portfolio Manager. You will now see a list of your investments.
- Locate the stock with the symbol you need to change and right click on it. Select Investment Details by left clicking on it.
- Delete the current stock symbol in the Symbol field and enter the new stock symbol. Click Done on the lower left to complete the change in Microsoft Money.
