Autocomplete

By Shelley Elmblad, About.com

Definition: Autocomplete is a time saving feature available in many financial software packages. Autocomplete will automatically finish filling in a field, such as a payee, as you start typing in the field. You may opt to use the autocomplete suggestions, or keep typing to enter another payee.
Common Misspellings: auto complete
Examples: When I enter credit card transactions for Walmart in Microsoft Money, I only need to enter 'W' and 'a'. After that, the autocomplete feature fills 'Walmart' in the payee field for me.
