3. Federal Refund: See your federal refund or tax due amount is as you complete your return. Remember that credits and deductions lower taxes owed after income is entered.

4. Get Answers: Quick links to help with tax-specific questions and using TurboTax Online.
   • Find Tax Help: General information on using TurboTax Online, government instructions for the screen you are on, and IRS publications. Use the Ask a Question search box to have TurboTax search all help topics. The TurboTax video library cannot be used because TurboTax Freedom Edition does not support this feature.

   • Using TurboTax: Tips for using TurboTax and troubleshooting common issues.

   • Contact Us: Service and Support links to the TurboTax support page with organized help topics, a search box and a Contact Us link. Send Us Feedback is to let TurboTax know where the software can be improved.

5. My Return: Links specific to your tax return.
   • View Tax Summary shows the final numbers for parts of your return.

   • Print My Return and View Past Returns are self-explanatory.

   • The Topic List lets you move ahead or back in the TurboTax Online interview by drilling down into subtopics by clicking on the + next to topics, but it is best to follow the interview so you do not miss entering any data.

   • My TurboTax Fees shows fees you owe but if you qualify for TurboTax Freedom Edition, you will have no fees.

   • Other Options includes Delete a form, Clear a return, Download a tax file, Print EF postmark (electronic filing confirmation).

6. Create User Id and Exit: Create your user account at any time if you haven't already done so. Click on Exit to save your return and leave TurboTax Online. Do not exit TurboTax Online by closing your browser, or you may lose your work.

7. Tax Return Navigation Links: Click on Personal Info, Federal Taxes, or other links in this bar to move around your tax return.

8. Searching Tax Topics, Forms and TurboTax Online Help: Another way to navigate around your tax return or to find get help.

9. Start a New Return: Click the blue Start a New Return button at the bottom of the screen to get started on your tax return.
