Passport

Definition: Used by Microsoft Money as a user name and password for security with data files. An online service that enables you to use your e-mail address and a single password to sign into any service or website on the Passport Network. Microsoft Money uses Passport to upload account data to the MSN Money site so users can access investment data online. Beginning with Microsoft Money 2006, Passport accounts are required to share data files efficiently between two computers.

The Passport Network is necessary to sign in to MSN Messenger, MSN Hotmail, MSN Music, and other sites. Visit the Passport Network to sign up or investigate further.

Examples: I sign into Microsoft Money using my Passport credentials so I can upload account data to share with my wife.
