Wizard

Definition: In financial software, a wizard is a pop-up window that walks you through completing a task step-by-step by asking questions or telling you what data to enter. The wizard then inserts the data into the appropriate area of the program.
Examples: The account setup wizard in Microsoft Money walked me through setting up my checking account.
