Set transaction password in Quicken

Set the transaction password in Quicken

Click on File menu > Passwords > Transaction and type the password of your choice in the password field.

Keep in mind:

  • The Quicken transaction password can be any combination of letters and numbers, up to 15 characters long.

  • Quicken passwords are case sensitive: if you designate 53JK9 as your Quicken transaction password, you will need to capitalize the J and K each time you enter your password. The password 53jk9 is not the same as 53JK9.

  • Choose passwords carefully. Quicken transaction passwords cannot be retrieved once set, and can only be removed by Intuit Data Services for a fee.
