Better Backups in Microsoft Money
Back Up Feature Makes Sense in Microsoft Money 2006 and Later

By Shelley Elmblad, About.com

A major improvement in Microsoft Money 2006 and later is the back up solution. Back ups in earlier Money versions happen automatically when the user exits the program, and each backup overwriting the previous one. If data was corrupted or if the user accidentally deleted an account but did not realize it until after the program was closed, the back up file would product nothing of value.

In later versions of Microsoft Money, up to 99 separate automated back ups can be performed so overwritten back up files are not an issue.

See Automatic Backups in Microsoft Money for information on the back up settings.
