Email Reports in Microsoft Money

Before sending a report via email in Microsoft Money, determine what type of file you will send. If you are sending the report to a financial professional, contact that person to find out if they would like to receive the report in XML or CSV format, which can be imported into various applications.

Three Options

There are three options for sending a report via e-mail in Microsoft Money: text(.TXT), XML and CSV. Text files can be opened with Windows Notepad or word processing software, and are sent as an attachment which is usually automatically opened from within the email application. XML can be automatically imported into financial management applications and CSV is recognized by most spreadsheet and database applications.
