Microsoft Money Super Salvage Utility

Repair Microsoft Money Data Files

Download Microsoft Money Super Salvage to attempt to restore corrupt data files.

  1. Open and run salvage.exe.
  2. Next to the Repair File box, click Browse, locate
  3. Click the data file that you want to repair, and then click Open. [liNext to the Save as box, click Browse. Using a new filename (not a current filename), specify a name and folder to save the repaired file to.
  4. Click Save and then click Next.
  5. Verify that Level 2 (Standard) is displayed in the Level box, and then click Next.
  6. Click Begin Repair.
  7. When you see the message that your file is successfully repaired, click OK.
  8. Click View Log to see details about any damaged information that the Super Salvage utility may have found. You must have Notepad.exe in your executable path to view the log file.
  9. Open the repaired file to see whether the issue is resolved.
If the issue is not resolved, your file may be damaged beyond repair. In this situation, you may have to create a new Microsoft Money data file and export your existing account information to the new file.
