MoneyStrands has made a great leap in improving their interface. If only Mint didn’t commit themselves to the silliest things like savings goals that each need a separate account, and not including a check number field – of all the offers you’d think they’d be the ones to have it (it also fudges the point of Merchant Spending Trend). Moreover, I’ve tried the savings goals on Mint ( and on a nice Excel program ) and realized half the things I was saving for I didn’t need or want and were so distant in actualization that it was just better to eliminate them. Mint also doesn’t seem to like to listen to their customers – I had email responses activated and heard the same simple requests for months. Strands could use a better response system to ideas and complaints. I enjoy Stands more than Mint and don’t see a point in most purchasable financial software. Stands is preemptive in asking for monthly charges per not having some extended features. Yodlee was confusing and Mvelopes was much more expensive. I’ve been more entertained by Stands and believe it is the more intuitive offer – despite that I must manually enter my FEW B & M bank transactions. Just my impression.
