Reader Review: Quicken 2009 Needs a Diet

By , About.com Guide   March 14, 2009

Follow me on:

A reader posted a Quicken 2009 review that starts with the title, Biggest Loser, and ends with this statement:
"...I have to give it (Quicken 2009) the lowest rating of 1 out of 5 stars (and that’s being kind to a now fat and bloated old friend)."
The vast majority of people who read this Quicken 2009 review from rusty9 found the review helpful, indicating that a lot of Quicken 2009 users or potential users are not delighted with the software. I gave Quicken 2009 a 3-star review, which is a lower rating than I've given Quicken in the past. I agree with some of rusty9's comments, but I'm not quite as put off by navigation tabs and Quicken Picks.

Hi Shelley,

First, I’m so glad you’ve got reader reviews now at About.com. Congrats! I’ve read your reviews about Quicken, and am excited to see what more Quicken users like rusty9 have to say too.

I want to share something we recently launched to improve our products based on user feedback: the Quicken Inner Circle. This is a community of passionate Quicken users that want to help us make future products better (both Quicken and Quicken Online). If reviewers have great suggestions, I hope they’ll share them with us in the Inner Circle.
