By , About.com Guide   October 28, 2008

Follow me on:

Buildium property management software recently informed me of a long list of improvements. I will need to update my Buildium tour with these features, but here are some of the enhancements:
  • More robust email tools
  • Use up to eight photos for rental listings
  • More accounting features like automatically queue recurring checks for printing.
  • Improvements to online payment feature for tenants.
New task and work order improvements:
  • Create and maintain recurring tasks
  • Create a task on behalf of a resident
  • Add an attachment to a task
  • Maintain your own list of task categories
  • Create a work order by itself or from a task
  • Generate a bill from a work order
  • See how long a task has been open
  • Generate a work order as a PDF

The Buildium site has had a nice makeover, including the Buildium blog with property management-related posts like Retaining Tenants: Keeping Vacancy Rates in Check.

Landlords and members of a home-owners or condo association can check out the Buildium demo and sign up for a free trial.

Hi Shelley,

I am wondering if you have had the opportunity to review irealtymanager.com because we are very similar to buildium, but we focus more on individual landlords who handle between 10-100 units on a daily basis. If you go onto Buildium’s web site under the news heading on 10/10 the reibrain.com review we are mentioned & compared in this review. I think it might be worth your while to check us out as well. I would be more than happy to have a conversation with you regarding our capabilities.

Best regards,
