MoneyAisle Brings CD Rate Bids to You

Wednesday October 1, 2008
Looking for a safer place to park your cash? MoneyAisle can find you a great rate on a C.D.using a web site that runs on automated auction software that allows banks to bid against one another for your business.

Anne Eisenberg of The New York Times reports that as the bids rise on MoneyAisle, interest rates click past on the screen like numbers on the gauge of a gas pump. And those gas pump gauges are running mighty fast these days, aren't they? Once the final, best interest rate comes up, you can take it or leave, and you don't pay for a thing.

PCWorld has a good write-up on MoneyAisle, too.
