Intuit Increases Online Apps for Small Business

Wednesday August 20, 2008
Last week, Intuit announced the anticipated fall release of its Connected Services for small businesses. With Connected Services, Intuit will offer online services to handle small business finances conveniently, through desktop computers, laptops and handheld mobile devices.

The Connected Services solutions are being developed by Intuit, and third party developers are playing a major role in creating Internet apps that integrate with QuickBooks after the QuickBase Development Environment closed beta launched last April. Intuit also plans to continue improving services like Intuit Payroll and Merchant Services that can be integrated with QuickBooks.

One of the first steps on Intuit's Connected Services initiative is QuickBooks Online compatibility with iPhones, with Blackberry support being just a few weeks away.
