Quicken 2008 on European Amazon Site

OK, so I found Quicken 2008 on Amazon.de. I think the description is in German German or Dutch(?), which I cannot read. I wonder if we will be seeing Quicken 2008 soon? I will be getting a chance to see Quicken 2008 in action next week but I do not know if it will release before that date or just after. If you can read German - assuming that's what language this web page is written in - please share some of the more interesting features you read about with us by posting them in the comments.

The screen shots on the Amazon page reveal a new look for Quicken 2008. The pix do not enlarge much so I can't see details but at the resolution they were published at, it makes Quicken 2008 look like Microsoft Money. As I squint to get a closer look, I would say that it also looks like Quicken 2008 might offer easier navigation; that would be cool.

The guy on the box needs a shave, big time. He looks really happy and my guess is it's because he's off to buy an electric shaver. Or is the "Don Johnson/Miami Vice" hot in Europe?

Thanks to the plonkee money blog for including this post in the 111th Carnival of Personal Finance!

While not familiar with the German market I found it interesting that the Amazon site did not reference MS Vista as a compatible Platform - especially when it has been out for 7-8 months.

I noticed that as well, but just looked again and found this at the bottom of the page: Vista ab Home Basic (32/64 Bit) (jeweils deutsche Version). Hmmm, maybe this is Dutch and not German?

German and US Quicken share only the name and baseline functionality offered. They’re two different applications. I suppose, the Germans have done their own thing at some point.
